The SWA aims to promote the management, conservation and rehabilitation of small or neglected woodlands.

It hopes to meet this aim by:

• Networking and information exchange between those involved in the management of small woods.
• Influencing policies affecting small woodlands.
• Develop new markets and better methods of adding value to woodland products.
• Providing an input into woodland and forestry training policies and courses while providing members with essential information.
